bit by bit

i liked the hh, it sounds like it is really low bit but also distorted, i personally love that sound. the bass could have been a little wider and the treble a little less wide. the melody was interesting and kept me guessing but a little confusing. the root chords were actually pretty original. there was a great part in the middle around 1:00.

hit hit hit it

bass was a little too wide for my tastes, the songs feels really fat when the treble synth comes in. great drum build around :42, i really liked the piano like stabs, they brought an important finished feeling to the song. i liked the "hit it" samples, very cool. there was one high end percussion i didnt like that was panned to the left, it sounded like it had distortion on it a little, sounded like a hh but it was in timing with the kicks. the kicks i loved, very nice groove, the bongos type drums could have used a little more reverb, but none the less they really add to the character of the song and sound awesome.

wow the stabs in this song around 1:40 were really cool!

this was a pretty dramatic song, i disagree with the last guy, i loved the background noises, although i would have compressed them a little, and they coupld have used a tiny bit more reverb, maybe, in all other consideration this is a great track! a bit repetitive but only on the verge, its pretty well arranged.

great delay in this song, nice atmosphere great synths, could have used a few pads in my opinion, but your drum samples were really cool, had a nice hollow sound i do enjoy.

i think the sub bass was a nice touch to this song, i think a heavy bass line would have ruined the atmosphere

Thanks for the review. I agree that it needs some pads thats probably the next step and I am going to work a little on the break in the middle, also Im not sure Im going to keep the extra synth at the end(at least not in its current form), if I ever have time :P Thanks for listning.

you had me worried i thought i was goin gto hear some massive feedback in here as a joke but no, this track wasnt annoying i dont know what you are talking about, sure it was simple but nothing in it was bad, all quality sound. i liked you pads, and the reverb on the kick was sufficient.

thanks man. made this a lil while ago and posted it today. it's really repetative, which is why i say it's annoying. lol. a lot of people on newgrounds hate repetition, but i seem to like it in my music. anywho, thanks for the good rating!

HEY great song!

hey this is a great song, i like your pads, and i like your kick. vox pads were cool!

there are a few things i noticed. first off the main high perc. needs to be equalized a little bit, take the high end off it so much so its not the main focus so much. the song had good atmosphere but i felt the bass was lacking some... effect attitude, it was funky but i think the way it sounded around 1:50 was good. around 1:35 it was a little difficult to tell the lead from the from the pads.

the way it ended really had great atmosphere, definitely had some imagery going on

Thanks! This was actually my first time doing my own EQ and mastering, so I'll have to try lowering the high frequency of the drums, i agree they are too loud.

wow im happy to hear this song, this is different from your most recent stuff, its like a fusion between your old style and the new, i liked the drums in it, it almost felt like a psy/electro song to me, i liked the kick alot, it was really well mixed either that or it was a good sample, either way it was at just the right level, this was... a nice surprise from you, i keep up with you pretty well and i will say this has some elements i havent heard in a while

yeah man. Ive been listenin to alot of electro lately which is probly why it sounds electro-ish :P
With the vast amount of synths and sound effects, plus the hi-hats and ride cymbol playing on each beat -the kick just hit at the right volume.
Also this is the first song ive bothered mastering

hello, i really like your sound, i like they way you arange your drum patterns and the full sounding pads you use sounds nice, the drums could use a little reverb unless you were going for that style, and your drums would sound pretty tough with a bit of distortion, i like the kick you used
